Philosophy of QUANTUM HEALTH
A Threefold Connected Path to Well Being

We deserve radiant health. And, through committed practice to what I consider to be the three tenets of Quantum Health, we can. They are:

1. I take responsibility for my body.
2. I am aware of the flow of energy within my body.
3. I believe in the greater good of humanity.

I Take Responsibility for My Body.

Most of us grew up believing that someone else was there with answers for us when we ran into trouble. This is especially clear with our health. If we were sick, we went to the doctor, took prescribed medicine, and felt better. The doctor had the answer.

Sure, it’s great to have a confidante or professional from whom we can receive advice, expertise, services or treatment, but the ultimate decision for how we take care of ourselves rests with us. We take responsibility.

We live a balanced life – eat well regularly, indulge occasionally, sleep soundly, exercise, work, play, meditate, spend time with family and friends, have at least one outlet for personal creative expression, and enjoy the kinship and dynamics of group activities.

When we need to consult a health professional, we find the provider who is right for us: someone who will listen, be patient, answer our questions, be open to all therapies, and treat us holistically.

I Am Aware of the Flow of Energy within My Body.

Everything in existence has a unique vibrational rate.

We know when we don’t quite feel right physically. We may feel stressed, have an ache or pain, a rash, etc. And, often we’re unaware at the conscious level of the root cause of what is either making us unwell or unable to live up to our potential. We can be in touch with all of these vibrations or “energies” at the conscious and subconscious levels, through the various modalities of “Energetic Medicine” or “Vibrational Medicine,” which use energy, or more accurately, the flow of energy as a medium for healing. When deficient or excessive energy flows are balanced within the body, we feel good. When there is an imbalance of energetic flow, disease or illness ultimately results. These imbalances can be corrected.

Energetic Medicine considers the biophysics of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body and uses natural methods to restore balance, whereas, traditional, allopathic medicine is based on the biochemistry of the physical human body and routinely uses pharmaceuticals for treatment.

According to the (US) National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Backgrounder on Energetic Medicine, there are two types of energy medicine: veritable, which can be measured, and putative, which has yet to be measured.

The veritable energies employ mechanical vibrations (such as sound) and electromagnetic forces, including visible light, magnetism, monochromatic radiation (such as laser beams), and rays from other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. They involve the use of specific, measurable wavelengths and frequencies to treat patients.

In contrast, putative energy fields (also called biofields) are still unmeasured and are based on the concept that human beings are infused with a subtle form of energy. This vital energy or life force is known under different names in different cultures, such as qi in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), ki in the Japanese Kampo system, doshas in Ayurvedic medicine, and elsewhere as prana, etheric energy, and homeopathic resonance. Vital energy is believed to flow throughout the human body.

Practitioners can work with this subtle energy, and use it to effect changes in the physical body and to influence health. They believe that illness results from disturbances of these subtle energies (the biofield). More than 2,000 years ago, Asian practitioners postulated that the flow and balance of life energies are necessary for maintaining health and described tools to restore them. Herbal medicines, and acupuncture, for example, act by correcting imbalances in the internal biofield, by restoring the flow of qi through meridians to reinstate health. Therapeutic Touch practices, such as Reiki, involve movement of the practitioner's hands over the patient's body to become attuned to the condition of the patient, with the idea that by so doing, the practitioner is able to strengthen and reorient the patient's energies.

Some Energetic Medicine modalities combine treatments. TCM incorporates herbs, acupuncture, and qi gong in practice. Ayurvedic medicine uses combinations of herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, and other approaches to restore vital energy, particularly at the chakra energy centers. The Quantum (EPFX/SCIO) is a complete system that combines veritable and putative energies.

Through whatever method or system works bests for us, we are able to tune in, and when necessary, to fine tune our flow of energy to achieve positive results.

I Believe in the Greater Good of Humanity.

Healing our body comes from the inside out; healing others and our planet comes from the outside in.

As individuals and within a group, we can influence changes in our world, every day, to make it a better, safer place to live for ourselves and for others.

We can:

• Take from the earth only what we need
• Purchase environmentally friendly products
• Recycle
• Reduce (air and sound) pollution
• Be involved in our community
• Participate in a worthy cause
• Meditate for the highest good of the planet
• Be devoted to our family
• Hold loving, positive thoughts of others
• Be a good friend
• Work honestly and fairly

Our setting intent and taking action contributes to the health and well being of ourselves, others, planet earth, and the universe.

Here’s to your vitality, good health and well being.
